Here, Stanley seems to be saying, "don't get close to this woman, she's mine, all mine, I tells you." Phyllis is wearing hoola hoops on her ears, as was the fashion of the time. I think Stanley's glasses are sort of like strange. They make him look like a modern robot (or, some might say, like Elton John).

And that's another thing that Phyllis and Stanley did in their 50 years together!
